Grew up thinking my name was, 'Hey Goombah, get over here.'
My goal is to make people laugh. It's rather basic but honest. To possess the power, the gift to allow someone else, to offer them a moment when they aren't thinking about a problem, aren't being stressed, is a beautiful and humbling thing. I like to give people an endorphin release, get that dopamine going.
My father was an extraordinary man. One of his many talents was that he was very comical. I remember the first time he made me laugh - best thing ever. I was between two to three years old. He sat down to play with my brother and me. He picked up two of my woodland figurine things and started a dialog with a skunk and a rabbit. The voices he assigned them were outrageous and over-the-top. The narration was killer, at least I thought so as I was a two-year-old. His production made me laugh so hard I fell to my side. He gave me stitches. I wanted more. Encore. Encore. Thus, the longing to laugh was planted.

This guy made me laugh, and called me goombah, which was a term of endearment.
